PARKER VILLAGE
Littleton, New Hampshire
The then-named Sherwood Manor development was constructed in the 1970's under HUD's Section 236 and Section 8 programs. Great Bridge Properties purchased this 50-unit apartment complex in September 2000 and immediately embarked on a much-needed rehabilitation of the site, rental units, and management procedures. Every unit was completely rehabilitated without displacing any tenants. Responding to resident needs, Great Bridge increased on-site management staff, installed a children's play area, and now provides transportation for children that would otherwise be required to walk to school. Great Bridge broke financing ground on the transaction by being one
of the first in the Nation to use the newly created HUD 236(e)(2) Interest
Reduction Payment funding source to preserve affordable housing. The
new and improved Parker Village will continue to provide much needed
quality rental housing to residents of Northern New Hampshire for years
to come. |
